This year ALROSA will channel 700 million rubles of targeted donations to the budget of Yakutia, TASS reported citing the Company's press service.
"The Company annually allocates targeted donations for the republican budget to construct educational, health, cultural and sports facilities. In 2015 ALROSA delivered 521 million rubles, in 2016 - 584 million rubles, in 2017 it is planned to deliver 700 million rubles. At the moment, ALROSA provides about 40,000 jobs in the regions of its presence,"- the press service said.
Part of the targeted donations will be directed to the construction of Kharyskhal (Talisman) Social Rehabilitation Center for Minors in Mirny, the ceremony of laying the first stone of which was held today. The main tasks of Kharyskhal Center will be family preservation, childhood protection, eradication of social orphanhood, providing social, medical, psychological services and pedagogical work with difficult adolescents.
According to ALROSA President Sergei Ivanov, the Company will maintain socially-oriented policy.
