The cult of nature preservation, which goes back to the depths of centuries, inspires respect. This was stated by Polina Anisimova, Chief Ecologist of ALROSA, who took part in 2nd Congress of ecologists of Yakutia.

"We have jointly discussed the accumulated problems in the area of environmental protection across the entire region. In addition, the Congress helped develop a unified strategy for the implementation of environmental doctrine,"- said Polina Anisimova.

 She noted that the program was highly topical and varied: "I spoke at two discussion sessions - Environmental Impacts and Compliance with Mining Law by Mining Enterprises and Integrated Programs of Enterprises - Nature Users and Municipal Entities. Specialists of ALROSA also presented their reports on monitoring and water management complex."

The interlocutor of YSIA reported that she was impressed by the activity of public organizations. "The support of public authorities and the tendency to expand preventive measures for nature protection are laudable," - Polina Anisimova summed up.

The 2nd Congress of Ecologists of Yakutia was held in the capital of the region April 5-7. Over 600 delegates from different parts of the republic worked in a number of areas dedicated to most pressing environmental problems.

At the plenary session, the head of the republic Egor Borisov, who took part as an honorary delegate, made a speech. He noted that environmental issues should become a priority in public policy.
