This area is part of the Taimyr district in Krasnoyarsk Krai and Yakutia. There are no roads; you can get there only by helicopter. Therefore Anabar Plateau is one of the most remote and ecologically clean places in Russia, not affected by human activities.

Geologically Anabar Plateau is unique: here some of the oldest geological rocks come to the surface - geologists describe the history of the formation of these rocks as follows: for many millions of years the Siberian Platform drifted from the southern hemisphere of the Earth to its current location in the northern hemisphere. For a long time above there was the warm ocean which accumulated marine sediments of different geological eras. As a result of uplift of the ocean floor most ancient sedimentary rocks appeared on the surface in the area of Anabar Plateau.

The Kotuikan River over millions of years has cut the valley through these rocks and created one of the most magnificent scenery in the world. The river has bared geological layers, by which you can read the history of the Earth and as in a time machine you can travel to the past, billions of years back.

Apart from the lyrics, we can say that Anabar Plateau is one of the most inaccessible and ecologically clean places in Russia. For hundreds of kilometers around there are no settlements, so hunting and fishing are excellent here. In the rivers of Anabar Plateau, particularly in the Kotuikan, one can fish taimen. Sometimes it may weigh up to 20 kilograms.
